2018 — Got Scholarship for Studying Abroad
Published: 2026
After completing my Higher Secondary Certificate in Bangladesh, I started looking for opportunities to continue my education abroad. In 2018, one of the biggest opportunities of my life arrived when I received a full scholarship to study in China.
Going to China
I was admitted to Fuzhou University in China, where I started studying International Economics and Trade. The scholarship covered my education and also provided a stipend, which made it possible for me to focus on my studies.
Moving to another country was a major change. I had to adapt to a new culture, new environment, new education system, and a completely different lifestyle. It was exciting, but it also required independence and patience.
Studying International Economics and Trade
My major was International Economics and Trade. During my university years, I studied subjects related to economics, international business, trade, management, and other areas connected to the global economy.
Studying this field gave me a broader understanding of how businesses and economies operate internationally. It also helped me develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
Life Abroad
Living abroad taught me lessons that could not be learned only from textbooks. I had to communicate with people from different backgrounds and become more independent in my daily life.
The experience also helped me become more comfortable with challenges. When you live in another country, even simple things can sometimes require extra effort. Over time, these experiences helped me become more confident.
A Major Turning Point
Receiving the scholarship changed the direction of my life. It gave me the chance to receive an international education and experience life outside Bangladesh.
It also taught me that opportunities can completely change your future when you are prepared to take them. The experience in China became an important part of the foundation for everything I would do later.
Looking Back
Today, I consider 2018 one of the most important years in my journey. It was the year when I left Bangladesh for higher education and started building an international academic and personal experience.
The lessons I learned in China continued to influence me even after graduation and eventually helped prepare me for another major chapter: moving to Japan.
