2026 — Building Projects & Job Hunting

Published: 2026

2026 is an important year for me because I am focusing on turning what I have learned into practical skills. My main goals are building software projects, improving my programming abilities, strengthening my Japanese, and preparing for an IT career in Japan.

Building Software Projects

One of my main priorities is creating projects that demonstrate my technical skills. Projects give me an opportunity to take concepts from class and use them in practical situations.

I am particularly interested in software development and want to create applications that solve real problems. One of my projects is a store management system designed around inventory, sales, and business operations.

Improving Java

Java is one of the technologies I am focusing on most seriously. I am working on understanding object-oriented programming, classes, methods, collections, exception handling, databases, and application structure.

My goal is not simply to memorize Java syntax. I want to understand how to design and build complete applications.

Web Development

I am also continuing to improve my web development skills. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript allow me to create interfaces and interactive websites.

Building this portfolio has been particularly useful because it has given me a real project where I can practice responsive design, navigation, themes, animations, and page structure.

Improving Japanese

Technical skills are only one part of preparing for a career in Japan. Communication is also extremely important.

I am continuing to improve my Japanese and preparing for the JLPT N2. My goal is to become comfortable communicating in professional situations and working effectively with Japanese colleagues.

Job Hunting

As I approach graduation, I am also preparing for job hunting. This means working on my resume, portfolio, projects, interview skills, Japanese communication, and understanding what companies expect from junior engineers.

I know that finding a first professional position can be challenging, but I see the process as another opportunity to learn.

Looking Ahead

My goal is to graduate with practical skills and a portfolio that demonstrates what I can do. I want to enter the software industry prepared to continue learning and contributing to real projects.

2026 is therefore a year of preparation. Every project, programming exercise, Japanese lesson, and job application is another step toward my professional future.
